Just a regular day...

I've gotten so much done since the break. Even things that weren't on my list I've managed to do. I had a total First World problem today with my closet. I blew some gift cards at Old Navy, and I probably didn't have enough hangers for all the new stuff. Managed to clean out closet, organize it, and get a few bags of nice clothes ready to be donated.

But while cleaning it out, I tried on a few things to determine if they'd be kept/tossed, and stumbled upon some things that needed to shoved back down into the bowels of the underwear drawer.

Dear Hot Topic: Thank you for destroying my teenage years, but leaving the remnants of your icy touch in the darkest places of my wardrobe, only to be discovered years later to be worn out of silliness.

Also, why I stay away from eating oranges:I have to dissect pretty much every bit of pith/stuff that isn't delicious off the orange. It probably took me a good 45 minutes to make this one edible.

After a strenuous day of cleaning and shopping, I thought it best to chill out with a delicious mini cheesecake and a big fat mug of hot cocoa. Ignore the bottle of wine, that was from an earlier night...

I then got a buzz to actually do something, so I made my laptop a case for when I go home:

I'm kind of in love with the outside fabric. It has a layer of fleece in it to provide some cushioning for when it's banging around in my backpack. I actually reconed the zipper from an old backpack that fell apart, and the inside fabric is from a tapestry I don't use anymore.

Now, I do believe, I should start packing and nom some pizza rolls...

I want it like, real bad.

I think I actually might just need it to live.

On a side note,

I really need to stop looking at Apartment Therapy.

Srsly.

EDIT:

I also seriously need to stop looking at condoatlanta.com

Ponce Place
St. Charles
Collier House
The Gatsby
The Gaither
The Hasty
The Masselton

I love you, Midtown. I'm thinking property taxes and condo fees cost a significant fraction of the mortgage, so that's why they're so cheap for the area?

I think...

... the only reason I'd ever purchase my own place (cottage/loft) was so I could put up tacky retro wallpaper in the tiny bathroom.

If I ever get an asston of cash, I want to renovate a small place by myself. Save for the electrical, because I'm terrified of touching wires.

Finals are next week. Usually when I have a break, I'll tell myself that I'll finally get around to finishing all my projects. But then I just sleep in really late and sit on the futon doing nothing.

This weekend...

Maybe, if I have some free time I'll get around to making one. I already have the fabrics picked out...

I really can't wait until holiday break.
